You are currently using Internet Explorer. This site is designed to be used with Chrome, a far superior browser.
The NMSA will not behave correctly in IE because we do not want to spend the time and effort to make it work.
Therefore, please make the switch to Chrome and NEVER USE IE AGAIN!
Welcome to the News Music Search Archive

The NMSA is only possible because of submissions from our visitors. While we thank you for your efforts, we do ask that you follow a few guidelines so that everyone submits audio to us in a consistent fashion.

Check out the Audio Submissions page for Do's and Don'ts and some explanations that answer the Why behind it all.

Looking for Audio Recording Volunteers

The NMSA is looking for voluteers who are willing to assist us in capturing audio found on the Internet.

We currently have a form that allows visitors to submit audio for inclusion in the NMSA. The only problem is that it takes us a lot of time to have to go and record the audio from the various YouTube, Vimeo, etc. feeds that are sent in.

We are accepting applications from users who want to help take some of the workload off of our shoulders.

So what is involved?

Volunteers accepted to participate as Audio Recorders will have access to the list of URLs submitted to the site. You will be able to "claim" a URL for up to 30 minutes which will give you time to record the audio, save the file, and then upload the MP3 file to our holding center. You'll also be asked to identify the news music Composer, Package, (Alternate Signature if applicable), Voice-Over Artist, and the Usage (i.e., time of day, 11pm, Noon, Political Show) for the audio. This will essentially "name" your uploaded file so that when we process it for inclusion on the site, things are ready to go.

If you are interested in participating and have submitted audio to us before, send an email to webmaster@NewsMusicSearchArchive.com letting us know you want to assist. We are going to be very selective, choosing only 3-4 people to assist, and these will only be contributors who have demonstrated the ability to record audio correctly in the past.
