Tary Rebenar (1974)
Tary Rebenar released "Chicago" on a 1974 private pressing of an album titled "Just a Dream Ago" produced by his private label, Barbarossa. Featuring 12 songs in which Rebenar provided vocals and guitar, "Chicago" was featured as the last song on the A Side of the record.
Rebenar was born in Moline, Ill. on July 13, 1940. He moved to Chicago and joined with other musicians creating Barbarossa, a music room of folk songs where he and others performed.
Tary Rebenar died in Chicago on November 10, 1990 at the age of 50 following an extended illness.
